Hank replied with this after I
forwarded Peggy's post. I asked and he agreed that I should forward this
to the list.

Subject: CAB
Kali,
I received the email you forwarded.
I definitely do not think that the BOD is
uninterested in the CAB. I think that the participation in the Strategic
Plan is a very important indication of the importance of the CAB. As was
the CAB's participation in the hiring process of the GM. Also I think that
it made sense for the CAB to go "inactive" while the strategic planning was
going on. And, as we were having conversations prior to strategic
planning, it made sense to me that the CAB was asking the BOD for direction and
definition of the CAB role.
I anticipate that the CAB will be revitalized,
though possibly in a somewhat different form. This will occur as the BOD
moves from accepting the strategic plan to implementing it. I'm hopeful
that Peggy and other present/past CAB members will look again at the CAB in the
hopefully near future.
I know this will get discussed some at the next BOD
meeting. If after that there are other things to do to let people know
that the CAB is part of the future of KXCI, I will try to help. The
strategic plan calls for actions on a great many fronts, and I hope
that slowness to act is not confused with a lack of intention to act. We
have our hands full. But it's good!
Best,
