Hi Mi..,
Yes, all "Maxxum" adapters will fit those older Minolta MF SR/MC/MD/X-600 lenses to the new Sony DSLR or any Minolta AF 35mm SLR/DSLR. Again, see
http://www.geocities.com/peterblaise/minoltamf/ and scroll to the green box for the MF to AF adapter discussion. By the way, Canon and Olympus have the same lack of forward compatibility between their old MF camera lenses and their modern DSLRs. Nikon and Pentax are w-a-y more compatible across their entire history, old and new. I do not think it matters, I have both new AF and old MF Minolta and I'm happy.
All caveats apply - manual aperture, manual focus, stop down metering, auto, program or manual exposure, and a severe narrowing of the original angle of view - the adapters have
their own 1.1x to 2x teleconverter reduction / magnification of the angle of view, PLUS the camera's own 1.53x reduction / magnification of the Sony A100's already built in crop. So your familiar "normal" 50mm lens will behave as ... 50mm x 1.53x = 76.5mm ... PLUS x 1.1x to 2x for the adapter, so 76.5mm x 1.1x to 76.5mm x 2x = 84.15mm to 153mm effective TELEPHOTO angle of view from your 50mm "normal" lens!
Also, DRO+ probably does not work with non-electronic lenses, but that's only for JPG anyway, and you are shooting in RAW, right? ;-)
Sorry for the delay in responding - busy, busy, busy!
Lemme know if you have more questions.

PS -
Let's calculate:
1.53x (camera) x 1.1x (smalleset adapter) = 1.683x (total)
1.53x (camera) x 2x (largest adapter) = 3.06x (total)
So, your familiar 35mm-film-based 80-to-200mm lens =
... times 1.683x (total) = "effective" 134.64-to-336.6mm lens ...
... times 3.06x (total) = "effective" 244.8-to-612mm lens ...
... on your new Sony Alpha DSLR-A100!
Fun, eh? ;-)
Dear Peter,
I have seen
your sight and have read it. However, my
ignorance of the slr digital camera is still bigger
then I would like to admit. I have recently purchased
a Sony aplha a100 beleiving it would use my old
minolta lenses. Funny thing is I should have read
more about the adapters. Here is my question. I have
a albinar- adg mc auto zoom, macro f=80-200mm. Also a
Minolta MD 50mm. I am just trying to make sure I
understand you correctly. These two lenses do not
have adapters that will fit my Sony alpha?
Thank you for any help you may offer.
