We are working a case in Van Meter, Iowa. Ozzie is a black Labrador Retriever... missing for two and a half weeks. No sightings, no leads... he vanished quickly.. without a trace.
My dog team found that his scent ended on the gravel road behind his home. We have media coverage and an extensive search effort in Madison and Dallas counties.
We need to hear from anyone who has witnessed anyone picking up a dog in cars, trucks and vans in this area. Since our media coverage last night, we have had two witnesses come forward, one barely got to his dog before the dog was loaded into a van. His dog was also a black lab.
If we can piece this together we may be able to discover where these dogs are being taken. It is possible that they are being sold at dog auctions for hunting dogs but there is no way to know for certain at this time.
Any help or information contact

PLEASE remember, if you have FOUND an animal it is not legal to keep it with out first making a documented attempt to find the owner. The local newspaper,
craigslist.com, K9Ambe...@Yahoogroups.com , K9Ambe...@Googlegroups.com does not charge any fee’s to place a found notice. Please do the right thing. Not only does the family probably miss the pet, the pet is very likely missing their family.
