My Mom’s 2 large dogs went missing last night from her home in Illinois . They were last seen together on Delhi Farms Road which is in between Jerseyville and Delhi , Illinois .  This is with in 20 minutes or so of Alton , Illinois as well.

My Mom is currently visiting with me here in southern Georgia . A neighbor was watching over her dogs for her and didn’t notice that the lawn care guy didn’t latch the gate back.  So, both Curly & Gracie got out of the fence last night.  They have been running free all night & lady didn’t call us until a little while ago!  These dogs mean the world to my Mom, and we’re both worried sick right now. Being 13 hours away is not helping the situation. We are calling everyone in the area that we can. (her vet- the dog catcher- who happens to be on vacation & River Bend Humane Society- which hasn’t opened yet) We need all the help we can get to bring her babies back to her safely. Please, help us cross post this everywhere. Feel free to post to Facebook, MySpace… anywhere!

The below is an email sent to the humane society in my Mom’s area with all the info on Curly & Gracie.

They are both microchiped but my Mom’s cell phone doesn’t work here. Please call me directly.

Thank you all so much!

Subject: Missing Family Pets!!!! Help!

While visiting with family in Georgia , a friend was watching over my Mom’s 2 dogs. Both of which got out of their fenced in yard when let out to potty last night. It was dark and apparently the lady didn’t realize the gate was open until they were already out. They have been out ALL night long, and they are inside dogs. We just got the call and are worried sick right now, and so far away.  We are reaching out to anyone in the area that might be able to help us find them.

BOTH DOGS ARE MICROCHIPED!!!! (However the number is my Mom’s cell which doesn’t have signal here in GA.)

CURLY (neutered male) is an Airdale & Rottie mix. – Black body with brown legs & face markings- recently had his body & stomach shaved down. He has the more slender body style of an Airdale & markings similar to a Rottie. He has a curly tail, is 7 years old & very friendly. His collar was not on last night. He weighs around 110 pounds. He is also a service dog.

GRACIE (spayed female) is a Chocolate Lab & Bird Dog mix-  Brown body but more slender/lean than a pure Chocolate Lab. She has a few white hairs on her chin.  Gracie is 5 years old & very friendly with woman. Can be shy around men.  She loves car rides and might easily jump in someone’s car if offered. (if she’s not scared that is) She weighs 75 pounds.  She is wearing a blue collar with out tags.

I have attached the only pictures my Mom happened to have on her memory card of both Curly & Gracie.

Curly was shaved after this picture and his collar was taken off.

If you see them or hear of anyone that has… PLEASE call us in Georgia at 912-539-0577

Thank you so much!

The local newspaper, craigslist.com, K9Ambe...@Yahoogroups.com , K9Ambe...@Googlegroups.com does not charge any fee’s to place a found notice. Please do the right thing. Not only does the family probably miss the pet, the pet is very likely missing their family.
