Fall Gathering & GOA calendar on website

Hello Everyone,

With the arrival of the fall rains and the beginning days of school, I
am looking forward to connecting with all of you. If the calendar on
the 'Get Outdoors Alaska' website is any indication, it sounds like
you all have been very busy. There were so many wonderful outdoor
events and programs for children and families in Juneau this summer.
Thanks to many of you for bringing these opportunities to our
community!

I want to let you all know that a fall radio spot will be airing next
week to encourage folks to get outside during the fall season and to
check out our "Get Outdoors Alaska" website. I encourage you to post
any upcoming outdoor activities on the fall calendar as soon as
possible. If you do not know how to post an event, please send the
information my way and I will be sure it is added to the calendar.
Also, I am happy to give anyone who's interested in posting on the
site, a quick crash course.

We'll be holding our fall Juneau Children Outdoors Community Coalition
gathering in October. Beth Weigel, our new coalition chairperson and I
will be meeting next week to brainstorm plans and set a date. Stay
Tuned for more details.
