Hi Everyone,
I was just made aware that the start times were missing from the
National Public Lands Day announcement. Festivities will begin at
9:00
a.m. at the large bus parking lot by the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor
Center, (Look for signs), where volunteers and coordinators will
assemble for a light breakfast and quick orientation. The ribbon
cutting will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Pavillion area at the visitor
center for the newly completed Nugget Falls Trail!
The Juneau Children Outdoors Community Coalition encourages everyone
-
young and old - to get outside and volunteer on September 24th,
National Public Lands Day. Public Lands belong to all of us - think
about what you can do to improve the park down the street, the school
in your neighborhood or come on out to Nugget Falls Trail to lend a
hand.
Gear Up and Enjoy Getting Outdoors this fall season (Storms really
can
be a lot of fun!),
