Responsibilities and duties:

  • Manage design tasks of all engineers and consultants, to ensure that drawings, specifications and information of the appropriate quality is delivered within an agreed timeframe and fulfils the needs of the design, procurement and construction processes

Being integrated into a Drake and Scull International MEP delivery team, the objective of the Commissioning Manager is to plan and implement the commissioning process from the design stage through the construction stage and then finally to execute the commissioning of all systems and interfaces in accordance with the relevant regulations and standards and within project timeline restraints.

Develop the project testing and commissioning program inline with project approved program of work.
Develop the testing and commissioning team organogram and define key personnel to be retained within the project team to oversee the completion of commissioning activities.
Manage and oversee the production and approval of all system and system interface testing and commissioning method statements in coordination with MEP Subcontractors/Suppliers and Vendors.
 Ensure that site commissioning activities adhere to the approved method statements. 

Construction / Pre-Commissioning
Ensure that pre-commissioning activities are carried out in accordance with the relevant regulations and standards.
Reporting of commissioning progress to the Client.  This will follow through to project completion.
Testing and Commissioning
Oversee the full testing and commissioning process coordinating with all relevant parties to ensure compliance with the project program.
Liaison and coordination with the relevant local authorities where required.
Manager and oversee the planning and execution of client training

Qualifications:
 
Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Job Description:
 

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Where appropriate, manage and develop the Commercial activities and successfully achieve company, Branch, team and individual goals and objectives relating to the standardised implementation of commercial practices and procedures throughout the Company.
  • Advise of the risk assessment of the commercial aspects of all enquiries, including the balance of contractual risk/estimate and risk/acceptable profit prior to submission of a tender to a client.
  • Ensure contract documentation complies with company policy in all areas, e.g. insurance requirements, review of bonds, warranties and guarantees.
  • Ensure that an original complete set of contract documents, including drawings, is completed as necessary and stored in a secure fireproof place.  
  • Formulate, in conjunction with the contract team, a commercial plan specific to each contract identifying the activities necessary to protect the company and enhance the profitability of contracts.
  • Ensure that contract costs are monitored and controlled against agreed budgets, and that cost information is accurately recorded and regularly presented to appropriate personnel in a clear and concise format.  
  • Ensure that contract progress is monitored and controlled against agreed programmes.  Identify and investigate any variances from plan and notify these to appropriate personnel, agreeing and implementing appropriate remedial action with contract management.
  • Advise and assist in the preparation and agreement of interim valuations and final accounts. This includes providing hands-on assistance in the measurement and valuation of work when requested by the Area General Manager.
  • Evaluate dispute information and prepare and agree claims for reimbursement of loss and expense. Negotiate and manage the resolution of disputes.
  • Liaise with the contract team, and be actively involved in the management of the ongoing financial aspects and the securing of all subcontracts, ensuring that subcontract terms and conditions reflect obligations undertaken by DSI PJSC.   
  • Consolidate and submit business plan updates and attend and contribute to financial reviews. Regularly review and verify individual team plans with the Area General Manager.

§  Maintain highest levels of commercial confidentiality in all aspects of employment.

§  To interact with the Main Contractors, consultants and other related parties for timely completion of projects and collections.

Job Objectives:

Assist and coordinate the selection of the key staff required to fill both Technical and Administrative posts and establishing the organization structure of the project with HRD.
Produce detailed overall Staff / labor requirements for the project under his control.
Ensure that the client is properly billed and those payments are received in a timely manner for the project.

Monitor Material Procurement activities for the project under his control.
Ensure that the project quality system properly and efficiently satisfies the requirements of the Contract. 
Maintain an awareness of all potential risks to the company’s day to day objectives and progress of the works, this applies to commercial risks due to delays, non-performing direct labor, sub-contractors etc and or delays by others (3rd parties), observing and adhering to company PQP’s and QHSE plans.
Raise ‘Early Warning’ notices to planning, commercial, senior management in view of any and all perceived delays to general progress of all works.

Follow-up with the procurement department for vendor offers and obtains vendor responses for the technical clarifications raised. Job Objectives:

§   Ensuring, implementations in compliance of PQP, ITP’s and other project related to QC documentations required.

Inspecting of quality management at DSI PJSC sites targeting compliance to the international standards, and local regulations and legislations

Responsibilities and duties:

§   To support and promote/champion all QHSE policies and procedures implemented by the company

  §   Posses knowledge in inspection of all (power distribution system, lighting, fire detecting system, low current controlElectrical, HVAC, fire fighting and plumbingMechanical, earthwork, excavation and backfill, concrete, concrete construction, grouting, masonry, paving, installation, erection, construction and fencing CIVIL and management system and will have the knowledge of international codes/standards)

  §   Shall have knowledge in preparing Method Statement and Inspection and procedures.

  §   Exposure to local authority’s rules and regulations will be distinct advantage.

  §   Capable of handling projects with minimum direction and supervision.

  §   QC Inspectors will be expected to conduct checks that include ongoing construction work, material deliveries and off site testing and inspection surveillances reports. This will include surveillance reports, non conformance reports and verification of corrective actions.

  §   All other tasks that may be reasonably requested by your management team at any given time.

Qualifications:
 
Degree / Diploma in Electrical / Mechancial Engineering or Equivalent

Years of Experience:
 
Minimum 2 years experience
