2012-spanish-i could tell right away this was a flick done for fun and it was great fun

tomas marino, a not very successful author, has been invited back to hid small home town of arga, a celebration in his honor.

the celebration is not quite what it seems. for 100 years the town has been plague by a curse, involving a werewolf.

a 10 yr old boy turned into a werewolf 100 years ago and has been killing the townsfolk. they managed to capture him about 40 years ago. they locked him away in an underground tunnel. they were afraid to kill it because of possible consequences related to the curse.

the story goes that the curse will be lifted if someone of the ww's bloodline is consumed by the ww on the 100th anniversary, the curse will be lifted and the ww will return to normal.

enter tomas. he and a friend are put in the tunnel with he ww.

they escape and so does it.

tomas' friend helps them hide out from the irate people searching for them while the ww has some fun. there's a point where diego(the ww) is back to normal but the rest of the town, except tomas and his 2 chums turn into werewolves-this was never really explained very well but didn't affect the enjoyment.

this was really a coll flick.

hilarious. cool, weird characters. really goof dialogue-clever, intelligent, witty just downright funny. some really fun scenes, at times, outright slapstick.

my favorite scene was probably the one where diego-having been found in his normal 10 year old form is with the 3 chums.

one of them, tomas' boyhood best friend has an idea-maybe the ww doesn't have to eat all of tomas-a small portion will do-they then debate which part to use-tomas really is not keen on this idea.

they decide on a finger-well tomas' dog gets it's teeth on the first one. time to lop off another one. they decide they can't feed it to diego raw because he's in human form now-they fy it.
