2009-british-darrin mullett has committed suicide.  he attended an elite, private high school.   known, not affectionately, as shrek because of his size and looks(he actually reminded me of meatloaf at his biggest, he could no longer take the bullying.

justine, the head girl, is talking about him in glowing terms at the memorial service, even though she could not remember him.

this proved to be quite the embarrassing when she obtains his suicide note, to her professing his love.

the night of his funeral the in crowd(which includes his prime tormentors) has a party to "honor" him.

they begin to receive insulting text messages from his phone.  they suspect it is from his only friend, another geek, ian.

it's his ghost. of course.

eventually he begins to kill his tormentors in some really cool ways.

although in his suicide note he had also promised to watch out for justine from the grave.  this changes when he watches her baling one of his main tormentors.

i liked this a lot.

it had the usual dumb ass, unlikeable teens, but the characters were well depicted and most of the dialogue bordered on intelligent.

kool killings.  blood.  violence.  well told tale.  creepy.  liked the ghost.

most of the school ghosts movies i have seen have been asian, actually can't remember any others right now, and it's just about always been the long haired school girl ghost.

this was a nice departure.

2 of my favorite scenes-one girl who was particularly cruel about his weight was drowned as his ghost body sat on her at the bottom of a pool.

the other-one girl had slapped and slapped him while he was held in front of a big crowd had her hands lopped off by one of those paper cutters-she was dialing the phone with her nose as blood spurted and gushed from her stumps.

I saw this. I watched it because of some male actor in his younger years, but now I can't remember who. He was the obnoxious good looking rich kid [yeah, I know. Which one?]  ha.
