CAMP HELL-2011-teenager tommy's family is part of a strict, apparently roman catholic community.  it's fairly obvious that tommy has doubts as we view a family prayer session.
tommy reads dante and is having nightmares of demons.
it's time for summer camp at camp hope, dubbed camp concentration by the inmates-rules and rules.
no hell phones.  nothing reflecting pop culture.  you get the idea.

the camp is presided over by a pompous fanatic priest who does things like call a young teenage girl a whore for talking to tommy alone in the dark.
when tommy expresses his fears that he might be going crazy with his dreams.  the priest immediately jumps on the demonic possession bandwagon and is on tommy like white on rice.

i liked this a lot.  very interesting.  there was an actual demon involved but that whole thing was very subtle until the very end.
it was as much about the horrors such fanaticism(the priest wasn't the only one, camp counselor, tommy's dad) can bring down on young people doing nothing wrong but held to be wrong, deadly, sinfully wrong by such communities.

liked the story,  the acting.  the dialogue.  really liked tommy's sarcastic wisecracking friend.
