GRACE-2009-madeline and her husband have been trying to have a child for quite some time.  couple miscarriages.  tried fertility drugs.

finally, she's pregnant, 11 months after she stopped using the fertility drugs.

maddy is a health nut.  she wants to use a midwife.  her husband is tolerant, his mom, not so much.

the midwife also happens to be maddy's lesbo lover from the past.

about 3 weeks before her due date, there's a car accident.  husband killed.   baby declared dead in the womb.

against all advice, she carries the baby to term.  maddy hugs it  kisses it.  whispers to it.  "wills" it back to life.  names her grace.

lesbo lover wants maddy back.  her current lesbo lover, her assistant is jealous.

the mom in law plots to take the baby from maddy.  she sits in her son's room kept as it was when he was a child.  she even gets out the old breast pump, getting ready to supply some good old grandma's milk.

as you might expect, the baby is not normal.  maddy begins to notice things.  doesn't seem to like the light.  flies are attracted to her.

one day, maddy notices a particularly offensive odor, thinks the kid needs changing, diaper clean.  more flies.  strange ash.

one day as she is breast feeding she finds out the milk is not enough.  baby wants blood. 

maddy doesn't know what to do.  tries calling her midwife bit the calls are not being returned because the jealous assistant never forwards the messages.

the blood feeding is taking its toll on maddy.  tries animal blood.  baby just vomits it up.

one thing i liked about this was that the baby never became some monster child attacking all around for blood.

it was maddy trying to figure out how to keep the kid fed, while becoming weaker and weaker herself due to the more and more frequent feedings.

things came to a very violent, bloody head in the last 20 minutes.

the ending was pretty cool, grace began teething.

one big gripe i have is that there was never any attempt to explain the why.  i like explainings,even if they make no sense.
