Google is on to me

As I am working to get the new website "live," Google is waaaaay ahead of me. Just now I was trying to find a page on the old site as reference for the new site.

I was using the archaic search tool on the old site, which is powered by google. It didn't even TRY to find stuff on the old site! It just showed me results from the new site. 

Ahhh, technology. 

I am working my @$$ off mapping old pages to new pages so I can do redirects. Google is like, you have an old site?

I have NO idea how close I am to getting this thing moved over, but I think Google will take care of it for me.

Anyone up for some experiments? As in: can you find what you are looking for on CatholicBoy.com using a google search? I'm really curious!

Dear Cassie,

  I looked up Catholic Boy's website and got what I think was the old one but was unable to get any poems, or video readings. In fact, now I can't find the newer Catholic Boy Website at all. In the past I got there by using one of the links in your emails. Yeah, Google sucks. This I already knew but old habits are hard to break.

   One of my major regrets is never having gone down to have breakfast with him even though a friend, Robert, invited me to come down as Jim liked him (everybody did). Now they are both gone and I'm still here. Sometimes I wonder why. I think God just liked them better and I don't blame him. Life is painful and getting worse. I pray you all don't feel the same. My Love to all and good luck with Google.

Dear Cassie,

   I was simply searching for Catholic Boy's website and only got the front page but was unable to access anything on it-poems, songs etc. Not very helpful I'm afraid but it was frustrating enough to conclude my "search". Sorry to disappoint.

I’m wondering about googling for specific things you might want to find, like “Jim Carroll poems” …

Dear Cassie,

Poetry is there, spoken word is there, songs/poems music is there though most is coming from YouTube. There are some poems that pop up, generally fragments and a lot of biographical reading.
