The Performance Reviews section was one of the biggest sections of catholicboy.com and one of the most difficult to bring back online. I have checked and rechecked and checked again - I think it's all there. This was one of the core parts of the website that got blasted in the 2000s. It's back! This is the section of the website I most treasure. Check it out:

I think the new website is pretty much ready to roll. I'm still hunting down missing content.
For the most part I have recovered the content that has gone missing for so long.

Now I am working on two problems.

The photo galleries are the biggest problem - the failure of the software that organized the photo galleries is THE main reason the website fell into disrepair. I have a good start on reconstructing the photo galleries, but this will be a longer effort. An enormous challenge is mapping descriptions and credits to photos. Argh. One thing that is very obvious is that the photos I have are teeny tiny - per the tech limitations of the dinosaur age. I hope hope hope people who contributed photos will send me BIGGER versions of their photos!

The second problem I am working on is a bunch of "stray" web pages - most but not all are unrelated to Jim Carroll. I have created a new "archive" subdomain for this content.

My biggest job right now is to map every file in the old website to its new version. Partaaaaay! I have to do this before I officially replace the old website with the new one.

I would really appreciate any help testing out the new website. Yesterday I thought I had finished the performance reviews section, but suddenly all of the links were broken. I spent half the day today investigating and fixing that problem, then redoing every fing link on the Performance Reviews page. I will appreciate all reports of broken links any anything else that is going haywire.

By the way, we are creeping up on the 30 year anniversary of catholicboy.com. Wow.

Awesome, thanks Cassie ... and I can see that my review is there! The Bottom Line NYC (1998), which you included from way back then!

It was one of my most memorable concerts, mainly because I had thought that I would never get the chance to see JC play live!
