Revenge is Sweet for ex- Governor Barceló Ha Ha, who says
he Tipped off FBI
By LPS - The
Associated Press -
For former Puerto Rican Gov. Carlos
Romero Barceló, the federal indictment of the current governor is sweet
revenge indeed... "Ha ha ha". Barceló, now a statesman for the main
opposition party, had previously identified himself as the person who
alerted the FBI to possible corruption by Gov. Anibal Acevedo
Vila.
Acevedo vowed "to remain firm as governor of all Puerto
Ricans" after surrendering to federal authorities and pleading not guilty
to 19 counts, that include conspiracy to violate federal campaign laws,
defraud the Internal Revenue Service and giving false testimony to the
FBI. He was released on his own recognizance and no trial date was
set.

"How terrible should it be?
Like someone who runs from a lion and meets a bear, then comes home and
puts his hand on the wall---only to be bitten by a snake! ...so stop them
noisy songs and let justice flow like a stream, and righteousness like a
river that never goes
dry."—Amos
