Dear Bakarapet Hasher
We are now exactly 9 days away from the day when the Advance Party leaves for Bakarapet on the 23rd. Time to get in to details.
The Kitchen Cabinet (Veggies) met at Radha's place to discuss their menu. Non-veggi chefs better do the same. Out of about approx 80 people just about 15 are veggies! The menu is more elaborate than at a 5* wedding.
The Chefs have decided on the following process:
- One Veteran (of Bakarapet) Chef each takes care of Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and the barbecue.
- They will be assisted by 3 professional hired chefs.
- They need chef co-hares to be fully responsible/accountable for one dish each.
- There are umpteen dishes so they need lots of people to volunteer.
- Recipes, mentoring, etc will be provided.
- Please volunteer to handle one dish. Send an email to state which of B,L,D or barbecue you would like to help with.
The scribe and the beer in his belly has put a Role against your name. The legend is: H for helping lay one trail; K: is for volunteering to help with one dish (email your pref of B,L. or Barbecue); G is for General Mgt (logistics/etc); S for sponsor (wipe that surprise off your face if it is against your name); C is for child (we do not believe in child labour). If you want to change your role, send your pref by email.
Most people have not done their homework on how they will travel. Once again, the sacred fluid has helped put in some entries under a column below to provoke you into thinking about it. Please send in your corrections. The name in the column indicates the name of the owner of the car; 23rd means that these people travel the day before to lug up the stuff required to set up the camp/kitchen. We need as many SUVs or large cars on the 23rd as possible.
