Youthful is hip again! On May 23, 2008, Java technology transitions
into teenage years - quite a remarkable achievement for a technology

computer. Great Indian Developer Summit 2008 is celebrating thirteen
intrepid years of WORA(Write Once, Run Anywhere), VMs galore,
bytecode, open source infusion, and the maturity and acceptance of a
daring technology that now runs on platforms ranging from enterprise-
grade servers to mobile phones to smart cards.

From May 22-23 2008, come to the Great Indian Developer Summit @ the
Indian Institute of Science (IISc) to hear authorities from the world
of Java discuss and debate the present and future of the language and
VM, how they are evolving to meet the community's ever-changing needs,
and some of the cutting-edge tools, technologies & techniques used for
building robust enterprise Java applications today.

The summit features some visionary speakers such as Jesse James
Garrett (Father of Ajax), Greg Murray (Creator of jMaki), Brian Sam-
Bodden (Java Author & Ruby Geek), Neal Ford (Meme Wrangler), Craig
Russell (JDO Creator), and many others. See a preliminary list of
