NOTE:  We currently have several levels (years of experience, YOE = 5, 6-9, and 10+ years) available for this role. We're open to 70/30 front-end or 70/30 back-end software engineers so the team will have a good mix. The full JD follows:

Job Title: 70/30 Full Stack Engineer - Angular, Spring, SQL, Oracle #25-94349

Location: Westlake, TX

Duration: 12 months with possibility of extension(s)

Pay Rate: $50-80/hour on W2 (depending on experience level)

We're looking for a highly motivated software engineer with a strong understanding of programming fundamentals and software design. In addition to building software, you will have an opportunity to help define and implement development practices and standards across teams.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in building scalable, high-performance applications using modern technologies. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and fellow engineers to deliver innovative solutions that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Angular, Java, Spring Boot, and SQL.
• Build and integrate REST APIs and implement Event-Driven Architecture leveraging Kafka.
• Ensure code quality through Test-Driven Development (TDD) and adherence to SDLC best practices.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Conduct internal demos and presentations to stakeholders.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience:

• Education: B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of credentials and experience.
• Development experience with Angular, Java, Spring Boot, and SQL.
• Proven experience with REST APIs, Event-Driven Design, and Kafka.
• Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Test-Driven Development.
• Ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable code.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, EKS, RDS, and S3.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery models
• Financial services experience
