AT&T is seeking a Principal Application Developer to serve as a critical liaison between Business, Network, and IT in Plano, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into actionable technology roadmaps

Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, modern cloud

Lead solution design sessions ensuring scalability and operational excellence

Mentor development teams, promote best practices, foster continuous improvement

Track and report on IT portfolio metrics, project timelines, and delivery status

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Computer Science + 9+ years progressive software development experience

Extensive hands-on expertise: agentic AI, AI-assisted development, LLM-based patterns, Python, LangChain/LangGraph, prompt workflows

Proficiency with AI tools: GitHub Copilot, Claude, Windsurf, agent-based coding

Expert-level skills:

 Java, Spring Boot (REST, MVC, Security), Microservices, modern cloud technologies

Strong telecom industry knowledge

Deep experience: Docker, Kubernetes, Bitbucket, Kafka, Jenkins, Git, OpenShift, AKS, cloud-native development

Proven ability in solution design, product backlog management, Agile sprint/release planning

Excellent communication, leadership, mentoring skills

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary: $158,200 - $237,400 annually
