Just wanted to let you all know of a great website which lets you connect with your neighbors online in a private social network. Its a way for you and your neighbors to talk online and share information. I personally have benefitted from:

- being aware of safety and crime issues (any break-ins, etc.)

- getting recommendations for handymen, gardeners etc.

- classified section

You can go online to www.nextdoor.com and sign-up. 

In an age where many of us do not know our neighbors, this is a great way to connect with them.
