This is not the way  PWD candidates should be appointed. If you give the position to a respective department it not a 200 point roster. Most of the time departments demand  expertise in a very specific area debarring rest of the candidates. Final results come as  "None found suitable."

The method followed by IIT  Kharagpur is this ,  First they identify suitable candidates who satisfy (UGC) criteria.  Then they ask the candidates to give choice for  three Departments ( First  choice ,second choice, third  choice) .  Then the applications go to those departments and respectives Deans/ HODs to  decide  the suitability  and screening  and selection committee is called.  If you give a PWD position to specifically to English  a physically challenged  candidate of  Education/Sociology  is automatically debarred.  Though this will not happen in the English Department ,but in most of the science Department the final result is none found suitable due to horizontal vertical and then specialization  constraints.
