Chitrakoot needs  no introduction to the devotees of Shree Ram.  But for the uninitiated ones, it is the place where Shree Ram spent 11 years of His exile with Sita mata and Laxman ji.  Here Shree Ram unfolded His madhur leelas.  Thus, Chitrakoot is also referred as Vrindavan of Shree Ram avatar.

For the followers of Shree Kripaluji Maharaj, Chitrakoot holds an extra significance.  Here Shree Maharajji had spent few initial years of His life. So, Sadhana Shivir (retreat) of Swamiji at Chitrakoot Dham was a double bonanza for all the devotees.  This justifies the overwhelming number of participants in the shivir.

With the popular demand by the devotees, Swamiji extended  the shivir   (usually  3-days) by one more day.  It started in  the afternoon of 24^th March   with prayer and aarti and ended with a spirited dance by Swamiji along with the devotees on 27^th March.  One of the hallmarks of this shivir was the parikramas.  There were  a total four parikrama, each one taking devotees to unique destinations. 

First day it was Sita ghat and Sphatik sheela.  Sphatik sheela is the place where Shree Ram used to take rest.  Second day it was to Bharat ghat and Yagya wedi.  Yagya wedi is the place where a meeting was called by Shree Ram with Bharat ji along with King Janak and people from Ayodhya, when they came to take Him back.  Shree Maharajji called for Chitrakoot Sant Sammelan at the same place some six decades ago.

Third day parikrama was to Kamad Giri hill which is the Govardhan of Chitrakoot.  On the way, there was Ram-Bharat milap mandap (place where Shree Ram and Bharat met).  We could still find the charan chinha (foot mark) of Bharat ji here.

Forth day parikrama holds special place for Shree Maharajji's devotees.  Swamiji took all of us to the old school of Shree Maharajji.  It was such a special moment for all.  The school register still have the name of Shree Maharajji as a student.  His room is still there in its original condition. Most gracious was the hospitality of the school authority.  The generous and humble welcome from the authority made the trip to the school most memorable one.

The true experience of the Chitrakoot shivir could not be expressed in words, it could only be felt.  As Swamiji rightfully said in his last message that after the "whirlwind of activity", he has reached USA for 7-month tour.  Even in US, he will be organizing similar retreats.
