Description:
A Japanese Machinery company is currently looking for a full time, fully onsite Bilingual Interpreter & English Tutor to join their Phoenix, AZ location.

Working on-site at a strategic partner’s office, this role provides critical administrative, coordination, and preliminary technical support to the design engineering team.

The ideal candidate will act as a vital communication bridge between Japanese and American stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

DOE and skills, the salary range for this opportunity would be between the 50k-60k with amazing benefits.

Your essential duties would be as follows:

[ Essential Duties ]
- Project Coordination: Assist the engineering/design team with task management, project scheduling, action item tracking, and overall progress monitoring.
- Bilingual Communication & Interpretation: Provide real-time Japanese/English interpretation during internal and external technical meetings; draft and distribute comprehensive meeting minutes in both languages.
- Documentation & Data Management: Organize, track, and maintain accurate engineering drawings, technical data, and critical project documentation.
- Design & Technical Support: Assist with basic CAD drawing reviews and data entry using AutoCAD and Plant 3D (training will be provided for candidates eager to learn CAD).
- Stakeholder & HQ Liaison: Facilitate seamless reporting, communication, and alignment (Ho-Ren-So) between local project teams in the U.S. and overseas headquarters in Japan.
- Vendor & Supplier Support: Handle inquiries and coordinate delivery schedules and specifications with local vendors, equipment fabricators, and manufacturers.

Please consider the following qualifications when applying
- Language: Business-level fluency or near-native proficiency in both Japanese and English (written and verbal) is REQUIRED.
- Experience: 3 to 5+ years of professional work experience.
-Experience working within Japanese corporate culture or familiarity with Japanese business etiquette is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- PC / Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Interest or basic experience in CAD software (AutoCAD / Plant 3D) is a plus.
- Mindset: Proactive self-starter with strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to anticipate team needs and work independently.
- Work Authorization: Must have valid legal authorization to work in the United States (Visa sponsorship is not available for this role).
