Position: ASP.NET with SSRS & Crystal Reports

Location: Redwood City, CA

Duration: 6 months plus

Total Openings: 2 positions open

 

Need Locals -- Face to Face after Telephonic Interview

Pharma experience would be a plus

 

These positions are responsible for developing and adapting computer systems; designing systems to satisfy business and user requirements; and writing computer programs to meet system design specifications.

 

The ideal candidate will possess leadership qualities and excellent written and oral communication skills. Must understand and commit to entire project life cycle. Work required is of moderate complexity and individual must be competent to handle most activities under general supervision.

 

CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

•        Design, code, test, debug, install, document and maintain moderately complex programs.

•        Create or modify reports in SQL Reports and Crystal Reports. Migrate reports to SQL Reports.

•        Communicate with users to determine their data processing requirements. Conduct detailed systems analysis to define system scope and objectives and determine requirements. Develop system and program specifications.

•        Prepare general and/or detailed flow charts for moderately complex programming systems.

•        Translate flow charts, problem statements, use cases and specifications into programming languages.

•        Develop test data, revisions and routines required for program release and revision.

•        Ensure procedures are thoroughly tested before release. Write reports of test results.

•        Detect, define and debug programs whenever problems arise.

•        Prepare system and programming documentation for users and other programmers in accordance with internal and external standards. Train users and programmers as required.

•        Review the work of other programmers as requested. Provide guidance and assistance as needed.

•        Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

Required Skills:

•        5-7 years application development experience

•        Minimum 4-5 years professional development experience with .NET using C#, ADO.NET, and ASP.NET

•        SQL Reports and Crystal Reports development

•        Should have practical experience with XML related technologies.

•        Should have solid RDBMS skills : SQL Server 2005 or 2008

•        Should have functional experience with

o   XML Web Services

o   AJAX, JavaScript

o   ASP.NET User Controls

o   ASP.NET Custom Server Controls

•        SQL Server stored procedure development (T-SQL)

•        Should have experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

•        Excellent communication skills

 

Desired Skills:

•        WCF

•        jQuery

•        Experience with multi-browser coding

•        Familiar with the MVC architectural pattern

•        ASP.NET/C# (3.5 Framework)

•        EDI

•        Ability to write Technical Design Documents based on requirements

•        Healthcare industry experience

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

•        Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. May substitute combination of education/experience in lieu of degree or 5 years experience.

•        Contract Developer positions require 5-7 years relevant work experience to provide strong technical knowledge of programming and analysis.

•        Job requires person be able to work onsite
