Position: Java Solutions Architect
Location: Miami,FL
Duration: long term contract, probably 1 yr+
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide a detailed technology architecture assessment of the Data Hub application including all internal and external portals. This will include the application, database, application
server, web server and operating system layers.
The engagement will include an assessment of performance of the application with specific recommendations for improvements across all of the above layers, an assessment of adherence
to best practices across all of the above layers with specific recommendations for improvement, and an assessment of usability based on industry best practices for business to business
web applications
Define the future state technology direction
Build the technology roadmap of initiatives to drive towards the future state
Define and execute a Solutions Architecture Review Board to review all technology solutions and assess their alignment to the future state technology direction
For individual projects, develop solution alternatives that are within the parameters offered by the business for scope, schedule and budget
Align the technology roadmap to the overall WFS business strategy
Work to ensure effective IT delivery processes (enterprise architecture, project management, software development lifecycle, release management, etc.)
Train and mentor less experienced technical staff
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Business Administration with MIS and Marketing
Minimum of 10-15 years of experience as a technology leader with an emphasis on application and infrastructure architect.
3-5 years of experience with Oracle Fusion products, specifically the ADF Suite 11g including the JDeveloper IDE and integration with PL/SQL
5-7 years of experience developing Java/J2EE applications using Struts, JSF, EJB’s. IBatis strongly preferred
5-7 years of experience with Oracle ERP from a technical architecture perspective
Oracle’s Weblogic J2EE Application server platform experience required
Oracle’s SOA Suite 11g development experience preferred
Sun Solaris operating system experience with the above technologies required
