Catholic Charities Tompkins/Tioga is seeking applicants for a part-time (21-24 hrs. per week) Refugee Resettlement Case Manager. This person will provide assistance to newly-arrived refugees ensuring that they have the appropriate resettlement services so that they may become self-sufficient as soon after their arrival as possible. The case manager provides the full scope of core resettlement services and also provides coordination of care provided by resettlement partners in the community in the fields of benefits, health, employment and education.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred. Major in Human Services, Social Work or Sociology preferred. Credentials: Bi-lingual ability in a refugee language is preferred. Experience: Experience working in human services field and/or multicultural environments and/or volunteer services or training is preferred.
Additional requirements: Requires work outside of the office. Possession of a valid NYS Driver's license and a driver's record considered acceptable by agency and insurance carrier. Requires occasional night and weekend work and willingness to be on-call for emergencies. Continuous use of a reliable, registered and insured vehicle. Demonstrate commitment to Agency Mission Statement.
