Ithaca Welcomes Refugees Community Picnic

You’re invited!

We hope you can join us for a community picnic and potluck at the Cass Park Pavilion on September 25th from 11 AM to 2 PM. We’re looking forward to spending time with our fantastic volunteers & community members. We can’t wait to share updates on volunteer activities and get to know everyone a little bit better!

What is your comfort food?

Please bring a potluck dish to share. Wondering what to bring? Well, as The Wizard of Oz taught us, there’s no place like home! We would love to try your favorite comfort food or a dish that represents home to you. French fries, falafel or freshly made beans… we want to know what YOUR favorite dishes are. And bring your appetite!

The quick-n-dirty details

Who: You, your family and friends, and other IWR supporters and volunteers

What: An open community picnic and potluck

When: 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 25th (before Streets Alive!)

Where: Cass Park Pavilion (Taughannock Park Blvd, just north of the Ithaca Children’s Garden)

Why: Connect with other members of the IWR community and learn how to get more involved

Don’t forget to bring your potluck dish (suggested servings 8-12) with a serving utensil. Feel free to bring some chairs or blankets if you have them!
