My name is Anastasia Gamache, and I live in Washington State.  I am originally from the Buffalo, NY area, and I am possibly relocating to Ithaca in the next few years.  I have been monitoring your dog park issue for the past year, as I am a dog lover and dog guardian, and I hope that dog parks will be available if I do relocate there.  I see that you have a meeting this month, and I hope the following information will be helpful to you.

 

We have many dog parks here in the Puget Sound (Seattle) area.  Here is one of the non-profit organizations that helps maintain two of the larger parks.  I thought the information on their site might be helpful to you in your meeting:  http://www.soda.org/

 

Also, here is the website for the other non-profit group that was formed to maintain numerous dog parks in the Seattle area:  http://www.coladog.org/
