Since I received little input back regarding the date for the
Confrontation tournament, it has been set for June 3rd. I will be
drafting up the rules for the tournament but it will probably follow
similar lines as to what the last entailed. I will be sending out
another email with full details within the week. If you are just
starting to play, this would be a great opportunity to get a full day
of games in.
For your information, I have included a list of the new releases that
are coming out this Friday with the armies that they are for.
Releases for May 5, 2006:
CRY08 Cry Havoc 08
LIEL06 Paladin of Alahan 3 (3 figs) [Lions]
LIEL07 Paladin of Alahan 4 (3 figs) [Lions]
NMCR02 Chthonian of the Abyss 1 [Mid Nor]
NMCR03 Chthonian of the Abyss 2 [Mid Nor]
MEEL01 Mercenary Officer [Cadwallon]
ORAR01 The Orcish Tribes (16 cards) [Ors]
CYBO01 Dragon of Lanever, Box of 1 miniature [Cynwall]
See you on Wednesday,
-Bob
Tomorrow is Wednesday night and time for some Confrontation. Last
week had Kelts vs. Devourers. The Devourers fear helped keep the
barbarian hordes back but in the end the Kelts overcame and took the
upper hand.
Unfortunately, at this time I am scheduled for a teleconference until
6pm tomorrow so I will not be able to make in to play a game. I
encourage people to show up and play, I know Luke is looking for a
change of scenery from playing my Sessairs and Dirz and would probably
be happy to get in a game.
Reminder, the June 3rd tournament is coming up pretty quick. Get in
some games to try out army lists or brush up on the rules. I have set
out fliers at Agents that has all the required information; these rules
are also posted on the Forum, this board, and the Wichita Gamers site.
If you are thinking about playing please send me an email
(rwie...@gmail.com) so I can get an idea of the amount of people to
expect.
We are always looking for new people to experience the game and play.
If you know of anyone who is interested in Confrontation have them stop
by or contact me.
Thanks
-Bob
It is time for Wednesday night Confrontation. Last week I was unable
to play due to work conflicts but I am ready to get back in and play a
game...
A reminder, the Confrontation Tournament on June 3rd is closing in.
Start getting your armies put together and tested out. If you need to
brush up on rules stop by on the next wednesday nights and play a game
or two.
Anyone interested in trying Dogs of War? I have been eyeing the book
and thinking about trying it out, get ahold of me if you are.
Thanks
Bob
Come in this week and try out your armies for the upcoming tournament
on June 3rd. The tournament rules are outlined on the Agents page if
you need them.
As a reminder, Cadwallon is coming out soon.
Thanks,
Bob
Tonight is Wednesday night confrontation. Last week Luke's
Griffins made short work of my Goblin hordes while Thomas's Undead
fought Jarad (playing Thomas's) Devourers. Tonight is a great
opportunity to test out your list for this weekend. I am working on
getting everything setup for the tournament so if you have any
questions about it forward them on.
Interesting note I found in the rules last night. I know Luke and I
have been playing that you have to have 1 character in your army that
is over 80AP. This is not completely the rules... Per pg. 204: You
need at least 1 character in your army & the sum of your characters has
to be between 80-200AP. So you can have 2 characters that total over
80AP and be legal. Just and FYI...
See you tonight or this weekend.
-Bob
I knew about that one, I think I figured I could have Naren and Asqual (I
doubt the spelling on that one) with 1 spell each and that would be around
80pts. I think they placed that option in there for both the goblins and mid
nor guys many characters under the 80 pts range. One quick question for you
Bob, you said something about bring in a list for you to look at before the
tourny. Can I just email you my list? If it is ok with you I can send it to
you tonight, along with the campaign map/ quest info.
It is Wednesday night confrontation time and I hope to see people in
and playing tonight. Time to start trying out new and different armies
to see if you can find a new combination that works well for the next
tournament.
For people who don't frequent the Rackham Forums there are few
interested things posted. First, the release schedule through the end
of the year has been posted. Almost every race is receiving new
additions and all of them sound pretty cool. AT-43 is starting release
in November (if I remember correctly) and I will be interested in
playing that. Secondly, Rackham has announced new tournament rules
that are going to go into effect in 2007. The rules are a combination
of some GDR/NACORD, the current rules, and some new things. They are
worth a look over, Rackham wants as much input as possible about them.
I am thinking about using them in the next tournament to see how it
goes, but this is still up in the air. Forward any inputs you have
about that to me.
-Bob
It's time for Wednesday night Confrontation.
Due to it being summer and I know people don't want to spend all
their evenings inside gaming, I have decided to change the format of
weekly Confrontation. Rather then playing every Wednesday, it will be
setup to play every first and third Wednesday of the month at Agents.
I am hoping that this will help bring in people who might not want to
come in every week. Also this will allow more time for people to play
larger games, Ragnarok, and Hybrid.
--This change will take place starting next week (forward any input
about this onto me)
See you this evening...
-Bob
Have they fixed the AC at agents yet? if they have I will try to be in next
week, need to get more games in with the drunes.
It's time for Wednesday night Confrontation. Last week we had a good
turnout with Wolves fighting Griffins, and Wolves fighting Sessairs.
If you are looking to join NACORD it is only $10
(http://www.conf-federation.us). Tournament restrictions, scenerios,
and scoring methods are all outlined in the files section.
See you this evening,
-Bob
It's the first Wednesday of the month and time for Confrontation.
I hope that everyone had a good 4th of July and nobody lost to many
fingers to fireworks...
Here is a list of the new releases for July; Cawallon is starting to
ramp up for its release later this year...
The Militia of Cadwallon
Captain Kelian Durak
Militia Crossbowmen
Isabeau the Secret + bearer
Sylann, Khidarym Champion
Giant Barbarian 1
Giant Barbarian 2
Cry Havoc #9
If anyone is interesting in joining NACORD get ahold of me. They are
looking at having 400 members by the end of this year.
See you tonight,
-Bob
See you tonight,

Just a reminder, this week is Confrontation Wednesday. Come down
and get in a game of Confrontation or Dogs of War.
Also, Cadwallon is being released this month and looks to be a good
system.
