For all who are interested, Wednesdays at Black Lyon in Wichita, KS we
are going to be playing Confrontation. Black Lyon is on the Northeast
Corner of Douglas and West street in the strip mall. Come and join in
the fun, first games are going to be 200 pts for the beginners and
ramping to 400 pts tourney standard later on. If enough interest is
generated then a campaign will be coming in the future. Come and play,
come and watch either way it will be a lot of fun. Email me if you
have any questions.

I wanted to thank those who came into Black Lyon on Wednesday to play
Confrontation. We had a decent turnout of 4 people and everyone was
able to get a game in. Hopefully we will start to build and get more
people to attend and with that a campaign. Spread the word to people
you know who don't play. They can borrow an army if they need to try
out the game. In my experience people who try out the game usually
start playing it. Ohh and keep up that painting :)

Glad you guys had a good turnout.
Until the weather gets colder I'll probably be out for most Wednesdays.
Wednesday's is our standing mountain bike riding day, and I need to keep
taking advantage of the weather.
:)
If any of you are ever available on Monday's, Saturday's, or Sundays, let me
know.

Just throwing a note out to everyone that we are going to get together
and play again this Wendsday night. Put together a new army and come
on down to Black Lyon. Plan on 5 pm again and lets see if we can get
some games in. Hope the weather stays good for you Kevin, and we will
see you hopefully when the snow hits.

Well attendence was only Luke and I for this past Wendsday. Is there a
day that would work better for everyone? Monday is another day that
Black Lyon is open until 9 and that would work fine with me to play. I
personally cannot come in on Friday.

For this week we will stick with Wendsday night aroung 5 to play for
those who are intersted. I am working on getting my Uraken Goblins for
a fieldable army and might be bringing them as a change. Has anyone
gotten a chance to work on building up their army at all? any painting
done?

Hope to catch yah wendsday

Unfortunatlly saturdays are the only time I would get to play. Fridays
may be anouther possobility but even then it would only be every other
week at best.

Are you going to be in this friday Calab. I know that Dawson is wanting to
play this friday and I plan on being there this friday. Personally I would
rather not spend to many fridays at Dougs shop, saturdays are better for me
on the weekend. Anyway, if you want to get a game in or demo just let me
know and we can set something up.

Greg.

Cool, I look forward to seeing the Gobbos. I have not spent much time on the
franken-Dwarves but have been kicking ideas out about what to do with the
bases, I am fairly solid on doing tiles, light tan and dark brown.

For those interested there is another Wednesday Confrontation night at
Black Lyon tomorrrow, this will be the last before Thanksgiving. I
really don't think anyone wants to come in the day before Thanksgiving
to play, and if you do... shame on you. We will be dropping some 400
pt armies out to play and also talking about some upcoming events that
are working on getting planned. Hope to catch you all there.

Happy Holidays all... I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving, I
personally just returned from Florida where is was 80 and sunny and now
have to live in the wind and snow... I knew we should have stayed
there...

I am returning to Wednesday night Confrontation at Black Lyon if anyone
ways to stop in with their armies. Plan on between 300-400 pts and
maybe a senerio if we get enough interest. Also bring some of your
painted guys to show off if you are interested. Catch yah there.

It's coming up to another Wednesday and another night for
Confrontation. If the weather doesn't get to nasty out there expect to
find me playing. I am going to throw a curve ball in for this week by
heading down to Agents Comics and Games to get in the games for this
week.

I am looking into the NACORD rules for scenerios to spice the games up
a little bit. Luke and I played the "Timber" scenerio last week with
good results. Good until you count the fact that I blew up my own
caster ;) the game just wasn't the same after that, how is it that you
can always roll double 6s on wounds you inflict upon yourself? Go
figure...

I hope that people can join us there, I will have the Aarklash Observer
there for people to read over if you want. For those who don't know
its a 40 page newsletter put out by NACORD that other Confrontation
players put articles into. Quite fun to read with tips on different
things as well. See yah there

Hey all:

I hope that everyone is got their holiday shopping done, I sure
don't... Unfortunatly this week I cannot make it to play on Wednesday
night I am stuck in meetings from 7:30-5 and won't be able to make it
in. I am thinking about getting a game in tomorrow night if anyone is
intersted. It will be back in full swing for next week though, people
should be in the holiday spirit as it will preclude christmas by only 4
days and if you didn't know 2 days before the Emperor is Japans
Birthday...

Last week Luke and I got in a good game playing the Arsonists scenerio,
it gives the game a much different feel to play a scenerio over a kill
outright game. I think this is where Confrontation shines over
Warhammer with its versitility in this respect. (not everyone agrees I
assure you).

Regarding events coming up... I am running a demo at Agents Comics and
Games this coming weekend the 17th is anyone wants to get in some
games. It should be good times all around. On January the 7th there
is a Intro tourney at Black Lyon 150pt, you buy the army as the entry
fee. There are more events to come, I am planning on scouting out some
of the hot spots for Confrontation in the Great Lakes area over
Christmas... That is defnintly the highest consentration of
Confronation players in the US right now. Also the French 2006 sighups
are open for those of you going to Europe ;) jk

Greg: How goes the signups and painting of the armies for the
tourney?? I am looking forward to getting some more people intersted.
I hope they get interested enough to start up there armies.

Remember to put confrontation guys on your christmas lists :)

The painting is going a little slow currently, I am a little worried about
getting hit with a bunch of stuff to paint in a short amount of time.
Currently we have 10 people signed up with a few other people that are
interested but have yet to sign up. I have had some questions from people I
was not expecting to show interest in the game.

Very nice for with the interest for the tournement, its good that some unexpected people have signed up.  Hope you can get the guys painted, how many armies do you have left to do?  Has Doug been able to get any extra blisters on the shelves, there is definitly some very cool new models coming out.  Luke may be up for playing over Christmas but I am heading out of town on Thursday for 1.5 weeks.  Good luck getting the painting finished up.
