I found this rebuttal article to be quite fascinating:

It is actually a rebuttal to a rebuttal, but you can get all that from context.

This gets at basic questions that arise if/when AI’s become capable to the point of being true substitutes for all labor.  May sound like science fiction, and maybe it is... but interesting to entertain nonetheless.  Questions like:

• Do AI’s obtain property rights?
• What happens vis-a-vis inequality among humans?  Between AI’s and humans?
• What value do humans contribute?  How does this evolve over time?
