NJ Webcomics - evolution

Hey everyone who attended the NJ Webcomics meetups -

A few years back I had to stop the NJ meetups due to not having enough
time because I was working on my first year webcomics and digital
media convention http://www.InterventionCon.com

This was always with the intention of reopening it as soon as I knew
I'd have enough bandwidth to do it right and a venue that could
support it.

Now, the stars have aligned. My convention was a big success and has
proven to be an indispensable resource for webcomics and other people
who use the internet to publish their work. I now have enough
bandwidth to do this meetup right.

The group is being reborn as InterventionCon.com Geek Networking. We
are here all year to Intervene and Inspire the whole family to embrace
Technology, Digital Media, and the potential of the Internet in order
to make a better world. Geeks, Webcomics, Podcasters, Bloggers,
Filmmakers, and the fans who love them are all welcome.

Our meetup primarily takes place in NJ, but we also plan to travel to
MD, VA, and other places to help set up satellite networking meetups
down there.

Our first meetup is taking place next Saturday January 28th from 3-7PM
on the 4th floor of Rutgers University's Alexander Library. At 7,
we'll all leave to find a diner or something and eat food.

We'll be doing this approximately every 3rd week of the month, but it
will vary depending on if we are out on tour or not.

It is my hope that we can use this as an opportunity to work together
and have fun, meet new friends, and perhaps even work together on
projects that can help the geek community.
