Thanks to Mohit Mehtani for the following:

There is a Medicins Sans Frontiers (Doctors Without Borders)
information session being held at SAIS (Johns Hopkins School for
Advanced International Studies), which is right next to Dupont Circle,
on Saturday, April 26th from 11am to 1pm.
One of the speakers is Laura Cobey, a nurse who also happens to be the
daughter of Dr. James Cobey, co-winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in
1997 which was awarded for his effort to document the devastating
impact of landmine injuries in Cambodia.

Here is the blurb and website if you're interested…..

Every day, Doctors Without Borders field staff from around the world
work alongside locally hired staff to assist people struggling to
survive amid armed conflicts, nutritional crises, natural disasters
and epidemics - regardless of political, religious, or economic
interest.

On April 26, all prospective medical and nonmedical aid workers are
invited to join us for a presentation, film, and question and answer
session to learn more about how you can become part of Doctors Without
Borders' field work.

You'll meet experienced Doctors Without Borders aid workers from DC
and hear firsthand stories of "life in the field." Human resources
officer Laura Cobey will be on hand to discuss requirements and
applications.
