It is nearly 3 months since I posted information about the EAIE
conference (16-19 September 2009) that Nurcan Kose and I were going to
attend in Madrid. The conference was a great opportunity to meet
people and share ideas. Then we returned straight to classes and
students; later we were busy organising the last events of the Towards
Inclusive Universities (TIU) project - which finished two weeks ago.

So now is the time to start sharing online, with people we have met
during different stages of TIU and others who are now joining this
online forum.

I start with the text that I wrote for the writing competition
organised at the EAIE meeting. I was never 'good at writing' at
school; however when we have a message to give, when we believe we
have something important to say... we try. My aim was to make the
jury of the writing competition think about disability; as this
writing was chosen as Winner, it will be read by far more people,
published in the EAIE newsletter.

Note: The text had to be "Maximum 200 words" so it is not a
grammatical text; just bullet points, giving a quick impression of the
experience. See the File 'Madrid Winner'.

test, then gives the lesson'

Hello Claire!

Thank you for sharing info about Madrid. However, there was no text attached to be written; I assume you just forgot to attach it. Or is the text actually that African proverb your mail finishes with?

Best, Mira

Minor technical problem! I'm still getting used to GoogleGroups.

The text is on http://www.tiu.org.tr/content/view/217/73/
And it is also a FILE if you visit the group on http://groups.google.com/group/InternationalHigherEducationDisabilityAdvisers/files

The African proverb would have been disqualified: the texts for the competition had to mention the EAIE conference ;)

Thank you Claire, shall have a read through.

Take care

p.s. I like the African proverb.
