Subject: IMPORTANT - Invited Review for The Human Affectome Project
I trust that all is well. This is just a quick note to let you know that The Human Affectome project has finally been announced and we are now assembling a multidisciplinary global taskforce for the effort. I’m contacting you because of the work that you have done in emotion-related research.
The 12 teams that will be formed for this taskforce will produce a series of invited reviews and then collaborate on an all-author synthesis paper (with all articles to be published in a high-impact neuroscience journal). Emotion-related expertise is needed in research areas that focus on fear, happiness, sadness, anger, hedonics, motivation, attention, and cognition. As well, expertise is needed in areas related to the physiological, the self, social factors, and executive functions (such as planning, acting etc.). The distributed nature of the project should allow this activity to sit easily alongside your existing research and you can involve a junior researcher if that helps.
