Intelligence capabilities of foreign nations are huge national threat
to us because electronic warfare is an ongoing invisible battle that
can easily penetrate deep into foreign territory. As technology and
communication has globalized, it has also largely increased the
likelihood of foreign governments to easily turn such technological
capability against any country or its individual for their interest
while getting it done at the nominal cost possible and staying
virtually invisible. With a carefully targeted attack any information
can be gathered and extracted out of anyone with a guarantee.
There are the dangerous voids in the technological capabilities of
Nepalese security agency if we compare to other countries where such
technological capabilities exists since long back and they use it to
shape issues of their national interests.
But most of us don't even imagine any such capabilities could even
exists. So, understanding such threats and detecting and then
migrating from them is even bigger challenge we face as a sovereign
nation today. The New Nepal capable in information operation,
information warfare and electronic intelligence capabilities would
fill the void and counterbalance the threats we face today from
countries which are capable in acquiring better intelligence and
information than our government and are likely to use it in their
favor unevenly.
