Rate:
$50/hr
The
client is looking for an EAD or GC or US Citizens only. No H1b is
required.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will provide consulting services to the client to support all types of LCBE Cognos 10 development. The consultant provided must be on site and available full time for Cognos development, and when requested will provide Cognos knowledge transfer to other information technology group business intelligence staff. Consultant should have some solid experience in training Cognos business power users.

The consultant provided must be on site and available full time for Cognos development, and when requested will provide Cognos knowledge transfer to other information technology group business intelligence staff. Consultant should have some solid experience in training Cognos business power users.
Required Skills
The Services to be provided will include, but are not limited to, activities from the list:
· Assist LCBE information technology group in the determination of best Cognos components to use for various business needs.
· Candidate should possess extensive knowledge of, and experience with, important Cognos 10 modules including:
o Business Insight and Insight Advance
o Query Studio
o Event Studio
o Analysis Studio
o Frame Work Manager
o Cognos Mobile
o Cognos Auditing options
o Cognos Security and Authorizations
o Report Studio
o TM1 (desirable but not essential)
· Develop Cognos data models using Frame Work Manager and publish packages
· Provide Cognos Development services as needed to develop
o Application reporting and Adhoc reporting
o Cognos Dashboards (Business Insight)
o Cognos Datacubes
· Candidate would ideally have Cognos architecture knowledge and be able to review Cognos configurations setup on our infrastructure and identify shortcomings or suggest best practices
· Provide problem determination as needed
· Advise on design of Data Warehouse structures, when needed, to most efficiently support Cognos development projects they are assigned
Ability to mentor and train business users when necessary
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
