Dear Capt.Mohapatra,

Just because I have wrote ‘you are blinded by ego’, you have
retaliated with more harsh words then mine which is not meant to hurt
you but to see the truth with your open mind.

Shipping business is not different from any other business. I have
joined shipping in 1991 and worked ashore for last 7 years. I
understand shipping business very well.

No master gave any touch time. But it is the self-realization as being
Master myself.

I don’t need to heal myself which means I am not healed now. I see
myself and correct myself, it is the continuous process in me.

I always speak in full sense with my full attention.

These kinds of talk make no sense for all. We need to have open mind
to discuss anything. If I need to address a Rose, then I need to
address as Rose, then only it make sense, similarly the term ‘ego’.

I am following the principle of ‘Love all serve all’. So let end this
discussion, since it is not bringing any fruit to anyone.

Best wishes
Suresh

Dear Shri.Yogesh,

“You also should go through your own posts, after 72 hours again.”

Suresh: Even after 72 days if I go through my own post, I will not
change, since this idea was not born now, but born when we were on our
first ship in 1991. Actually it was not my idea. The idea was from my
batch mate who was 2nd rank holder from NIPM (I was 5th). He used to
state “why don’t we work only on Bridge and let call as ‘Bridge
officers’”. He never used to like to work on deck since he used to get
sun stroke quite often. It was a training ship and we were eight
cadets, doing maximum of chipping, painting on deck cranes, on holds,
on DB tanks etc., And also we had class room session, so it was well
planned with tight schedules for cadets. But I really enjoyed working
on that ship, and when captain to sign off he gave very good report
about me.

So any way, sorry to promulgate others idea instead of mine. But now
it appealed to me as a shore manager since I see most of the works
were done by shore workshop. I am also promulgating this with a
self-interest that is, if more shore companies bloom then more shore
job opportunities possible. I left sailing 7 years before and I
cannot think of sailing back since I have two children affected by
Autism spectrum disorder. Hence this selfishness to promote marine
shore job opportunities. Now teaching Institutes are not doing well
and hence only way out in shore is Marine workshops.

If you think of operating cost of a ship to go high due to shore PMS,
let it be, that has to be borne by the end user which means freight
rate will go high. Are we not seeing how Oil companies increase petrol
and diesel prices very often? Until last month Ponni Raw rice premium
was costing Rs.725/- in spencer’s super market and this month when I
went to buy it cost now Rs.1035/- within a month time nearly 40%
increase in our basic food.

My boss used to tell that “if that is the cost let go ahead with it”
which means if we can’t do anything to control, then that is the cost
we have to bear, no choice left. Similarly if you want to enforce all
regulations such as ISM, ISPS, STCW (rest hours) & MLC etc., and you
want to make stress free life in true spirit for our sailing seafarers
then we need to remove PMS from them and we need to project this to
owners and state this is what the operating cost. Then automatically
freight rate will increase. This is one way of bringing back the
shipping market which is now down. Then all seafarers will gain.

Think of it.

Best regards
