Dear All,

Very good morning to all !

It is with great pleasure and pride , I would like to share the news that our Capt. Rajesh Tandon, has been elected as Chairman of International Maritime Employers Council  (IMEC).

The international shipping fraternity, has conferred this great honor upon Capt. Tandon who now will be leading IMEC, which is the world’s largest Trade Association dedicated to Maritime Industrial Relations .

For those of you who are unaware, IMEC,  represents over 180 shipping companies located all over the world, operating over 9700 ships of all types ,including dry bulk, container, cruise liners, livestock carriers, reefers and tankers,  registered in more than 50 different countries and employing in excess of 210,000 seafarers.

Besides negotiations with the seafarer’s international unions (ITF) through the mechanism of IBF , IMEC  is also  very actively and effectively involved in the domain of maritime training , quality improvement & , welfare of the seafarers world over.

Its truly moment of pride & happiness not only for all of us at V.Ships, but also for the entire Indian Shipping community, as Capt. Rajesh Tandon is the FIRST INDIAN  to head this prestigious International organization.

Please join me in congratulating Capt. Tandon for achieving this great feat.
