Hon'ble President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee visiting Uppsala University on 31st May

Hon'ble President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee will be visiting Uppsala University, on the 2nd of June. He will be giving a talk on the subject -'Tagore and Gandhi: Do they have Contemporary Relevance for Global Peace?' at the Magna Aula (Main University Hall), Biskopsgatan 3, Uppsala. The Crown Princess and Prince Daniel will be present at the talk. Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallström is also scheduled to speak.

The event is open to the Public and all members of the Indian community are cordially invited to attend this prestigious event. The talk is planned between 1700 to 1800 hours and to facilitate the travel to and from Uppsala, the embassy will be arranging for transportation that will run between KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Upsala University. The transport will depart KTH and Uppsala, tentatively by 1500 hrs and 1900 hrs respectively. The details regarding the type of transport and the time of departure will be posted on the website soon.  All those interested to attend are requested to RSVP their attendance at ambo...@indianembassy.se latest by 29 May 2015.

The RSVP should include the names of all those who would be attending even if they are part of one family or group. Also, all are requested to carry a valid photo id on person which may be required for the registration process.

Kindly note that there will be a registration desk at the venue where all guests are required to register before entering the Magna Aula (Main University Hall).
