What is this training about?
Participants will learn about Nativism Watch, a national network that works with the media to counter anti-immigrant media bias. We write letters to the editor, Op-Eds and contact journalists to inform them of the small fraction of political extremists who are seeking to use immigration to further a white nationalist agenda.
Nativism Watch exposes the racist roots of the John Tanton Network, one of the nation’s leading anti-immigrant voice. Here is a link to an educational video about the history of the Tanton group:
