Moderated by IDEO'er Tracy DeLuca
THIS MONDAY! October 24th
4pm in the Cafe
100 Forest Avenue
Palo Alto, CA
Eugene will talk about climate science, solutions and food - how
effective solutions taste and feel good! He will also share a bit
about his latest project, The Green Ninja.
An Associate Professor in the Department of Meteorology at San Jose
State University in California, Eugene’s research interests are
focused on understanding the processes responsible for long-term
changes in climate through the use of observations and climate models.
He also teaches various courses in climate change and is involved in
projects working to improve methods of public education that engage
and ultimately stimulate social change.
Eugene coauthored Cool Cuisine: Taking the Bite out of Global Warming,
a hybrid cookbook/ science book that looks at the multiple connections
between the food we eat and global warming. Eugene’s latest
educational project is The Green Ninja - a climate-action superhero
(

Join us for what’s sure to be a very cool afternoon!
