If you're still using Windows 10 do this before 10/14/2025 Midnight (I'm not sure what time zone probably PST).

You need to create a Windows installation usb jump drive.   I'm not sure of the size requirements but I purchased this (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082ZGHXK8?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_5) which is two 32 G Jump Drives for $8.49 and I created two Windows 10 Installation USB Drives.  You may need it and you probably won't be able to create on October 15, 2025.

Create Windows 10 installation media

To get started, you will first need to have a license to install Windows 10. You can then download and run the media creation tool. For more information on how to use the tool, see the instructions below.

If your antivirus continues to work you're probably good for the time being.  If you are using Windows Defender I don't think it will continue to update after 10/14/2025.

I use Avira Prime.

You will eventually have to upgrade; there's no getting around that.

I still have one laptop that is running Windows 10 and it doesn't meet the Windows 11 requirements so I'm going to continue using Windows 10 on it for now.

You can continue to get Windows 10 Updates if you enroll in Windows Extended Support for $30 for a year.

How much does ESU cost?

Extended Security Updates for organizations and businesses on Windows 10 can be purchased today through the Microsoft Volume Licensing Program, at $61 USD per device for Year One. For more information, see When to use Windows 10 Extended Security Updates. The price doubles every consecutive year, for a maximum of three years. ESU is available at no additional cost for Windows 10 virtual machines in the following services:

I haven't read this but this was on a youtube video, you will have to login to your Microsoft Account at least once every 90 days to keep your ESU active.  That might just be fake news.  I cannot verify it.
