Update on the Rebuild of my Home @ 7437 Canoga Circle (There was a fire at my home on 03/29/2025 @ 09:16 PM CDT)

I have signed a contract with a builder Rede Construction (David Avery).

They have filed for a rebuild permit after working with my insurance company to get some things added to the scope of work.

In the meantime, the City of Fort Worth, Code Compliance Department, has issued me a notice to appear on Monday, June 23, 2025 @ 09:30 CDT.

They want me to inform them of what my plans are.  They have the authority to demand the demolition of my home.

It is currently considered a Hazard because of the roof being unstable and the burnt wood could be releasing toxins into the air.  They mention other things like the wiring and plumbing.  I'm not really sure how those qualify as a hazard as people are not allowed in my house and the fire department pulled the electric meter.

I drove to City Hall the other day on my way to work (more like out of on my way to work...) and I'm not particularly apprehensive about this hearing.

Pray for me to say what I need to say at the hearing on Monday and that I would remain calm.

This is the day that the Lord has made.

I will rejoice and be glad in it.
