I receive the IVIG very slow for the first hr @ at a rate of 50 ml/hr then it is increased 50 ml/hr to a max rate of 250 ml/hr.I have never had any side effect at all.I do take advil and hydrate very well.We make sure that my protime is between 2.3 &2.6.

Protime is also known as PT/INR.Google protime test.It will give you a total explanation.

I can't say that you do,but I do because of the clotting factor of my blood.By having a protime factor of 2.3-2.6 it lesson's the Chance my blood clotting

I'm friends with atl least a hundred patients who infuse IViG at least monthly and we've never heard of the device or a clotting problem with IViG. .
