Location: Santa Clara, CA (Mandatory 4-5 days’ work from Office)
Type: Contract
Rate: C2C Rate: $70 per hour.
Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced BI Solution Architect to lead the design, governance, and optimization of enterprise Business Intelligence solutions. This role will be responsible for defining the BI architecture roadmap, driving Microsoft Fabric capacity planning, enabling AI-driven analytics capabilities, and delivering scalable, high-performance reporting solutions aligned with business strategy.
The ideal candidate will bring deep Power BI expertise, strong architectural thinking, and the ability to align analytics platforms with evolving business and AI transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
BI Architecture & Strategy
- Define and implement the enterprise BI architecture vision and roadmap.
- Architect scalable solutions using Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
- Establish governance frameworks, standards, and best practices for enterprise BI delivery.
Microsoft Fabric & Capacity Planning
- Lead Microsoft Fabric capacity planning, workload management, and cost optimization strategies.
- Monitor and optimize Fabric environments to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Design semantic models aligned with enterprise performance standards.
Data Modeling & Analytics Design
- Develop robust dimensional data models (Star/Snowflake schema).
- Implement advanced DAX and Power Query transformations.
- Ensure scalable, reusable semantic layer architecture.
AI Awareness & Modern Analytics Enablement
- Demonstrate awareness of AI-driven BI capabilities, including Copilot, AI-powered insights, predictive analytics integration, and automation opportunities.
- Guide the adoption of AI-enabled reporting and intelligent analytics features within the BI ecosystem.
Performance & Optimization
- Optimize datasets, reports, and dashboards for performance and enterprise-scale usage.
- Implement best practices for data refresh strategies, query optimization, and dataset tuning.
Security & Governance
- Implement enterprise-grade security including Row-Level Security (RLS) and access control frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and data governance standards.
Stakeholder & Delivery Leadership
- Partner with business leaders, data engineering teams, and executive stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable BI solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to BI developers and analysts.
Required Qualifications
- 12–15 overall experience and 6-7 years of IT experience with significant experience in BI architecture roles.

- Power BI (Development & Administration)
- Microsoft Fabric
- Advanced Data Modeling
- DAX & Power Query
- Strong experience in enterprise BI governance and security implementation.
- Experience integrating BI platforms with SQL, cloud data sources, and APIs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
