Description: Employment Opportunities

International Theme Park Services, Inc. (“ITPS”) is currently seeking the following positions for a family/children’s theme park located in Istanbul, Turkey:

General Manager:
3-5 years operations experience. Must be familiar with finance, marketing and general operations.

Marketing Manager:
Responsible for group sales, public relations, advertising/promotions and corporate sponsorship. Should have 3-5 years experience in FEC/theme park marketing.

Operations/Maintenance Manager:
Areas of responsibility include facilities maintenance, rides and attractions, safety/first aid. Should have 3-5 years experience in maintenance, operations and safety.

Requirements for all Positions

All positions require 3-5 years experience in the FEC/theme park industry. Assignment minimum: 3-5 years. Salary (plus full benefits) commensurate with experience.

Disney's Splash Mountain gets safety bars
Orlando, FL - Walt Disney World's Splash Mountain reopens today after a month-long refurbishment with a new feature: lap bars. The restraints have been installed in each of the 18-year-old flume ride's 64 log-shaped boats. They are designed to prevent riders from standing up or getting off before the end of the 9-1/2-minute ride, which carries guests through enclosed areas with animatronics and includes a 52-foot drop at a 45-degree angle.

Safety flaws found in Dome ride
Japan - Tokyo Dome Corp. was searched Tuesday by police over a fatal accident Sunday in which a 34-year-old man fell to his death from an amusement park ride. The operator of Tokyo Dome City Attractions in Bunkyo Ward is the target of a police probe that started Tuesday, company spokesman Yasuhiro Nakano said.

Japan - The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has raided the headquarters of Tokyo Dome Corp., operator of an amusement park where a man was killed on Jan. 30 after being thrown from a roller coaster, on suspicion of professional negligence causing death.

MO - Six Flags St. Louis in Eureka plans to hire 3,000 employees for its 2011 season. A job fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on succeeding Saturdays Feb. 5, 12 and 19. Grand Bear seeks property tax break
IL - A property tax appeal revealed more details on Grand Bear Lodge’s troubled financial position such as it is currently up for sale and had just one “unconfirmed” offer. Grand Bear Lodge officials met with La Salle County Board of Review on Monday to ask for a decrease in its property taxes that would save about $50,000 annually from its operating costs.
