Six defeats in eight league matches now; that's the level which
finally did for Roy Keane.
That's 30 goals conceded in 10 league matches, which last happened
crashing out of Prem in 1994/95. At this level, 30 in 10 last happened
in 1964/65. And it's 17 first-half goals conceded in 10 matches: even
1994/95 never managed that - it's the first time since 1964/65.
A goal difference of -14 in the past 10 league matches hasn't happened
to Town in this division since 1958/59.
But hey, it's top-notch entertainment. The last time Town fans saw 46
goals in 10 league matches was in 1966/67 under Bill McGarry. Please
don't tell me anyone remembers that. Even the Joe Royle era never saw
the ball being picked out of the net at either end at the rate we're
currently seeing.
