Subject: Adrian Research Fellowship 2026 in Philosophy
Dear all (especially PhD students & postdocs),
Darwin College has just advertised the Adrian Research Fellowship 2026 in Philosophy<
https://www.darwin.cam.ac.uk/vacancies/#adrian-research-fellowship-2026-in-philosophy>. This is a “stipendiary” fellowship (i.e., paid postdoc) in any area of philosophy.
I’ve held this fellowship, so I’d be happy to answer general questions about it, or what it’s like to do research at Darwin (I can’t offer specific advice on applications due to my involvement with the search). The bottom line is that it’s a fantastic opportunity to do full-time research for up to 3–4 years (if you’re familiar with JRFs, it’s basically that), with lots of support from the College community. Note the deadline for applications is soon: 03 October 2025.
Best wishes,
Ahmad

P.S. Darwin is also offering multiple "non-stipendiary" research fellowships<
https://www.darwin.cam.ac.uk/vacancies/#non-stipendiary-research-fellowships>. I.e., if you already have a source of postdoc funding and would like to join a college community, these fellowships are worth considering. Especially if you work in philosophy or HPS, there’ll be many of us at Darwin to join!
