The NORPAK Review

Northern Research, Policy, & Arctic Knowledge Hub

Northern Arizona University

The Northern Research, Policy, and Arctic Knowledge Hub (NORPAK) at Northern Arizona University (NAU) invites submissions for the inaugural issue of The NORPAK Review, to be published in Summer 2026.

The NORPAK Review is a cross-disciplinary, editor-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing research, dialogue, and knowledge exchange related to Arctic, Northern, rural, Indigenous, and circumpolar communities. The journal provides an accessible platform for scholarly, community-based, policy-oriented, and applied contributions that critically engage with the social, cultural, political, environmental, and economic realities shaping northern regions and communities.

The NORPAK Review welcomes diverse cross-disciplinary and community perspectives, including contributions grounded in Indigenous knowledges, lived experience, collaborative methodologies, and practitioner-based expertise. The Journal seeks to bridge academic scholarship, community engagement, and applied policy development to support sustainable, ethical, and community-centered futures.
