Seasonal School ROBOPHIL – Robo-Philosophy: Dimensions of Co-Agency

ROBOPHIL offers a compact and focused transdisciplinary training programme devoted to the philosophical, social, political, and technical dimensions of the systemic transformations linked to robotics and artificial intelligence. The School adopts a perspective
attentive to different philosophical approaches and to the multiple dimensions of agency.
Learning Objectives
The main objective of ROBOPHIL is to provide participants with an in-depth and critically informed understanding of contemporary technological transformations, fostering dialogue across disciplinary boundaries.
The three educational pillars of the School are:

Technical and philosophical aspects of new technologies

Social transformations connected to Industry 5.0

Virtual and collaborative co-existence (cobots and AI)
These themes will be addressed in a transdisciplinary way through the participation of moral and political philosophers, social scientists, engineers, and computer scientists.

Participants will experience an interactive and cross-disciplinary learning environment, including:
Target Participants
The School is open to:

PhD students and PhD candidates (priority will be given to them);

Postdoctoral researchers;
-
Master’s and advanced undergraduate students;
from backgrounds in Philosophy, Social Sciences, and Human–Robot Interaction–related fields (e.g., Engineering and Computer Science).
A maximum of 20 participants will be admitted. Selected participants will be provided with accommodation and meals for the entire duration of the School.
